About Qutb Minar...


Many people knows about the Qutb Minar. It is a very nice place for roam of tourist. Many peoples comes from abroad to see it. It  made of red sandstone and marble, Qutb Minar is a 73-metres (240 feet) tall tapering tower with a diameter measuring 14.32 metres (47 feet) at the base and 2.75 metres (9 feet) at the peakQutb Minar, it is pride for Delhi(India). Qutb Minar, it is located in Mehrauli area of South Delhi,India.



History...
The construction of Qutb Minar was commissioned by Qutb al-Din Aibak, the founder of the Delhi Sultanate in 1199, but they don't build this minar. He only build it's base. Next Successor of The Mughal Empire Iltutmish extended three floors. In last Sultan Firuz Shah Tughlaq, they biuld fiveth and last floor in 1368. The tower is built of red sandstone on which verses of finely carved vines and flowers. Qutub Minar, it builded on the ruins of lal kot. Dillika,it was capital of last hindu kings Chauhan and Tomar. The purpose of the construction of the tower is said to give the call to prayer from the mosque Quwwat-ul-Islam, or Islam, to observe and security remains as a symbol of victory over Delhi. there have a questão, that Archaeology is not certain of the scribes that had the name first of the Turkish Sultan Qutb Aibak, and some believe that the name of Baghdad is named after the famous saint Qutb Bakhtiar Kaki(who came to live in India). It was great respect for Iltutmish. it was repaired by Firoz Shah Tughlaq (1351-1388) and Sikandar Lodhi (1489 -1517).It was built in the renovated 1829 Major Arksmith.


Inside The Qutub Minar...



1. Alai Darwaza, It is main entry gate. it set in the southern side of the Qutub Minar. It was build by the second khilji sultan  of delhi




2. Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque, Qutb Complex, intricate stone carvings on columns monastery in Delhi - resembles a Hindu temple pillars - the pillars of Hindu temples. it's artwork is very cavities. 

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           
 3. Iron pillar,  near the Qutub Minar (in Delhi) is a curiosity of metallurgy. it is build by the chandragupta in (375-414). it's height 7 meter and  weigh 6,511 kg. it was the first part of Hindu and Jain temples.The amount of iron in iron-pillar around 98% and has yet not rust.


4. The tomb of the Delhi Sultanate ruler, Iltutmish, the second Sultan of Delhi ( 1211–1236), built in 1235, this also part of the Qutb Minar. The central chamber is a 9 mt. The main cenotaph, in white marble, is placed on a raised platform in the centre of the chamber. The facade is known for its ornate carving, both at the entrance and the interior walls. The interior west wall has a prayer niche (mihrab) decorated with marble, and a rich amalgamation of Hindu motives into Islamic architecture, such as bell-and-chain, tassel, lotus, diamond emblems.



5. Alai Minar, was build by Alauddin Khilji. after he had doubled the size of Quwwat ul-Islam mosque. In last The construction was however abandoned, just after the completion of the 24.5-metre-high (80 ft). then Alauddin died in 1316 . (The first storey of the Alai Minar,) a giant rubble masonry core, still stands today.
